The 14th Mayors Forum of the World Cities Summit (WCSMF) will run from 2 – 4 July 2025, hosted by the City of Vienna, the 2020 Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize Laureate.
A flagship component of the World Cities Summit, the Mayors Forum is a global platform for mayors and city leaders to discuss pressing urban challenges and share the best practices.
Themed “Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Local Solutions, Global Impact”, the 2025 edition will see city leaders discuss resonating topics on affordable housing, reliable and efficient municipal services, urban energy transition and urban water management.
Liveability Framework: Part 6 – Collaborative Ecosystem

CLC launched the refreshed Liveability Framework (LF) at the World Cities Summit in June 2024. This is the sixth of a 10-part series on the LF that showcases its various components through bite-sized articles.

It allows cities to achieve co-benefits between multiple developmental objectives and needs, rather than having to make trade-offs. Thus, centred on regeneration, issue #25 examines key tenets of climate financing, carbon-sensitive design, and community engagement, reimagining the future of nature-centric, carbon-positive, and circular urban development.
