The Keppel Marina East Desalination Plant will be Singapore’s first largescale dual mode desalination plant that not only treats sea water and reservoir water, but is also envisioned as a recreational space. This project by Keppel strengthens the city’s water security while enhancing liveability and sustainability. The Singapore-based company is also developing such sustainable urban infrastructure across Asia. In Ho Chi Minh City, the upcoming Saigon Sports City will incorporate biophilic design principles such as harnessing natural lighting and ventilation as well as landscaping features to create a vibrant and sustainable township.
