“For too long, we have neglected the human dimension, being so enamoured with the economic side.”
Buildings should improve the lives of people, says Professor Lam Khee Poh. This is why the architecture researcher and educator engages building users and gathers data on their usage patterns. Only by separating the “ground truths between what is real and what is assumed” can one design truly sustainable and energy efficient buildings, he says.
