Creating a Regenerative City
CLC and Ramboll are organising the Urban Lab Singapore – the first of its kind in the region – which brings together thought leaders from the public, private and academic sector in an innovative knowledge generation process on regenerative urban development approaches. As a lead up to the Urban Lab, this lecture will explore the transformative power of regenerative design in shaping sustainable, resilient, and thriving urban spaces.

Launch of AIC-CLC Dementia Friendly Neighbourhoods
The Dementia-Friendly Neighbourhood (DFN) publications and prototypes were launched on 2 December by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and Mr Yip Hon Weng, Advisor to Yio Chu Kang Grassroots Organisations. This study sets out to develop locally-validated design guidelines for creating neighbourhoods that are inclusive to people living with dementia in Singapore’s high-density, high-rise urban context.

Creating a Dementia-Friendly Neighbourhood: A Yio Chu Kang Pilot Project
Creating a Dementia-Friendly Neighbourhood: A Yio Chu Kang Pilot Project is a documentation of the AIC-CLC Dementia-Friendly Neighbourhood Study, which is the first community-based research project that gathers first-hand data and insights from persons living with dementia, their caregivers, and the community, to generate evidence-based and locally validated design principles. The publication documents the study’s multi-stakeholder engagement, through the converging of stakeholders from the built environment, health, social care, and community. We hope this publication will inspire and guide more partners to create dementia-friendly neighbourhoods.
Dementia-Friendly Neighbourhood Design Guide
The Dementia-Friendly Neighbourhood Design Guide serves as a valuable resource for the replication and expansion of dementia-friendly neighbourhoods island-wide. This Guide, built upon the foundation of the AIC-CLC Dementia-Friendly Neighbourhood Study, consolidates and harmonises relevant dementia-friendly principles, guidelines, tools, and perspectives from our various government agencies and international experts. This is a design resource that offers guidance to built environment professionals on design considerations and strategies to creating Dementia-Friendly Neighbourhoods in Singapore’s high-rise, high-density context.
